Projects
In innovations, I have done may projects that not only make me step outside of my box. but to allow me to take a step back and realize the things I love the most about myself.
SELF PORTRAIT |
but For this project I spent a week finding things that make me well me. I spent the week discovering the things I love the most and words myself or others refer to me as.
I collected pictures from my favorite past memories. I glued them to the outside of a glass vase and in the inside I filled it with words and or names of the people who make me, me. I did the vase to show I am breakable, I have had to grow up faster than a lot of kids my age, but that doesn't define me. I used the vase to show that if you are to drop me I'd break. but if you are to take the time and pick up the pieces you'd see that i'm one of a kind, that i'm different, unique. i'm special. In the inside I placed words that are important to me, the people who keep me going, the words people describe me, as wells as words i think of myself. I put them in the inside to show these are the things keeping me together. From keeping me from falling and breaking into millions of different pieces. |
PASSION PROJECTS |
In the second semester of Innovations they had let us go on our own and explore the things we love. For my first project I dedicated my time to my little sisters. I was recovering from a surgery I had gotten done so moving and lifting things weren't allowed. during the two weeks i did small things with them, from small dance parties, to watching a movie. I saw the change in our relationship grow. For another one of my passion projects, I spent a week researching how to put together my own company. Than the following week on building a plan. I asked a close person to me who had suffered from battling cancer herself. I asked her what she would've liked to have had at her availability and she had told me about how a women brung in bags filled with things to help treatment go smoother she had asked me what if I was to do something like that but for the families. Each basket could have a theme, such as a movie basket, or a game basket. It's something small but something big for them when they are weak and in need. |

we were broke into small groups and asked to help figure out an easier way for the kids with special needs to enter and exit the school. we had to work closely on knowing the strengths and difference of the kids. we had to accommodate them and their needs. |
